Getting Down and Dirty

We all took a day off from our usual projects to head up to Santo Domingo to work in "la huerta" and had so much fun! We took a bus part way and then jumped in the back of the truck for the rest of the ride.  I learned really fast that Mexico has some really big potholes. 

 

 But what a pretty ride!

 

 And we finally made it to the orchard/garden!

Alex and I were put in charge of starting the fire for lunch.  I figured it was no big deal, I've started plenty of fires in my day. 30 minutes and a few singed fingers later I realized maybe I'm not quiet as adept at it as I thought I was, but we finally got it!
